South Korea aims to boost economy with $13B stimulus

South Korea's record 17.7 trillion won economic stimulus will help create more than 500,000 jobs and increase economic growth by 1.5 percentage points, the finance ministry said. President Lee Myung Bak is urging parliament to approve the plan in April. "The key is how fast the government can get approval from the parliament and how efficiently the government will implement the plans," said Lim Jiwon, an economist at JPMorgan Chase in Seoul.
