FAA proposes fine against Northwest Airlines for 757 maintenance

The FAA says Northwest Airlines 757s flew for three years without addressing required maintenance for windshield heaters, and the agency is seeking a fine of $1.45 million against the carrier, which is now a part of Delta Air Lines. Delta has 30 days to respond to the penalty proposal.
