Industrial sources of GHGs await EPA's tailoring rule

Industrial facilities such as oil refineries, steel smelters and chemical plants are waiting for the Environmental Protection Agency to roll out the regulations for stationary sources of greenhouse gases. While the agency is on course to issue by April 1 new regulations on tailpipe emissions from light-duty vehicles, there is no timeline given for the rule on stationary sources. "We're moving expeditiously on it," said Regina McCarthy, the EPA's assistant administrator.
