Medical facilities team with legal aid to help patients

Cincinnati Children's Hospital has a legal aid office inside its pediatric clinic, one of 180 medical sites in the U.S. helping patients and families address broader issues, such as living conditions, food stamps and welfare, that affect health. The concept, officially endorsed by the American Bar Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, uses a protocol to teach physicians how to ask the right questions.
