A radical new electric-car prototype lets drivers recharge its battery on the fly using muscle-power. Instead of a steering wheel, the tiny vehicle has an oar-shaped handle rising out of the dashboard; the energy generated when motorists "row" the handle back and forth is enough to breathe new life into the battery and keep the car rolling. The driver steers the car with a "lean-and-steer" mechanism similar to that of motorcycles.
