ACC: TSCA trade-secrets interpretation could go to court

The Environmental Protection Agency and chemical companies could end up in court over the protection of chemical trade secrets under the Toxic Substances Control Act, said Christina Franz, regulator and technical affairs director for the American Chemistry Council, while at GlobalChem in Baltimore. She said chemical manufacturers, the EPA and environmental groups can seek a compromise that informs the public while protecting companies' concerns for confidentiality.
