Small businesses get wise to the sneaky snares of the daily deal

After many small businesses learned the hard way about the disadvantages of daily-deal sites such as Groupon, many are altering how they structure offers and negotiating better revenue splits with the coupon companies. As the number of companies offering deals explodes, business owners are also finding that sometimes the best results come from smaller sites.
