Brazil's regulatory agency for health care products has updated its database for prices of major cardiology and orthopedic devices. The online record, which lists maximum, minimum and median prices for more than 500 devices, is designed to allow public hospitals to make informed, cost-effective purchases. The database incorporates information from health plan providers and five state capitals.
