Report: 41% of U.S. recorded TV programming doesn't get watched

More than one-third of all recorded TV content globally doesn't ever get viewed, while in the U.S. the figure is 41%, according to research from Motorola Mobility. Viewers around the world record shows for different reasons, with 72% described as "hoarders" who want to have a "box set" of a show; 77% doing so because of conflicts with other shows in the same time period that they want to view live; and 68% wanting to skip ads.
