Texas nurse honored for recruitment efforts

Retired nurse Jean Coleman was among the honorees at the annual Women in Tyler program and is credited for helping recruit black nurses into the profession. She retired as chief nursing officer for Trinity Mother Frances Health System and began the Greater East Texas Black Nurses Association.
