Craftsmen In Germany Take Skills On The Road

German wandergesellen -- skilled carpenters, cabinetmakers and bricklayers -- are honoring a centuries-old tradition by going on the road to find jobs. Unable to find permanent work in a struggling German economy, the wanderers now number about 500. They must stay on the road for at least three years and one day. Because they they are exposed to new techniques and work styles they are considered the top in their professions.
