Philips Electronics India focuses on TB, malaria diagnostic tests

A microscope-based portable diagnostic kit to diagnose malaria and tuberculosis based on saliva, blood or urine is being developed by Philips Electronics India Ltd. The kits will be used in rural areas and will probably consist of a "palm-top device complete with a scanner, reader, microscope and display unit."
