GE Healthcare launches nuclear cardiology SPECT platform

GE Healthcare has introduced its nuclear cardiology SPECT platform Alcyone Technology, designed to enhance image quality and allow simultaneous dual-isotope imaging and other new clinical applications. The technology, which utilizes cadmium zinc telluride detectors, focused pinhole collimation, 3-D reconstruction and stationary data retrieval, can run on the Discovery NM 530c and Discovery NM/CT 570c.
