Kanawha River bridge under construction in West Virginia

The winter did not slow construction on the $94 million bridge on I-64 across the Kanawha River in West Virginia. The 2,950-foot span will connect Dunbar and South Charleston when completed in 2010. Workers are using the balanced cantilever method of construction, which connects the bridge in segments outward from the bridge piers.
