Specter's union stand "supports small-business owners"

U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., has reversed his position on the Employee Free Choice Act, robbing Democrats of the one crossover vote they were counting on to win passage. Because his vote plays such a pivotal role on the issue, critics and supporters of the bill were quick to react to Specter's announcement Tuesday. NFIB Vice President Brad Close said: "By voting against cloture on the EFCA, Senator Specter will be voting to support America's small-business owners."
