Top candidate to run TARP withdraws from consideration

Frank Brosens, a hedge-fund manager considered to be the leading candidate to run the Troubled Asset Relief Program, dropped out of the running, sources said. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is looking at other possibilities, including Herb Allison of Fannie Mae. Brosens said he withdrew for personal reasons.
