Australian REITs favor domestic assets over U.S. offices

Australian REITs such as ING Office Fund and RNY Property Trust are no longer enamored of U.S. office properties. Many are beginning to shift their investment strategies to domestic assets. There are some exceptions. "We see significant opportunity to recapture value through the cycle by reinvesting into our high quality U.S. portfolio," says Adrian Taylor, CEO of Charter Hall Office REIT.
