Chemotherapy boosts survival for lung cancer patients

An analysis of 50 studies showed patients with operable non-small cell lung cancer had better survival rates if they received chemotherapy in addition to surgery. Researchers said gains were seen regardless of the type of chemo used or if patients had chemo with surgery alone or surgery plus radiation.
