Federal investigators probe cracks in new Nevada bridge

At the behest of a congressional committee, federal inspectors are probing further into a $600 million Nevada highway project after long cracks were discovered in the 1,700-foot-long Galena Creek bridge. The 300-foot-high span is under construction, and the cracks in the concrete supports could cost up to $1 million to fix.
