Hermes remains "prudent about the medium term"

France's Hermes International expects demand for women's clothing and accessories to rebound in 2010, boosting revenues by at least 5%. "We see already a significant upturn in activity," CEO Patrick Thomas said. Consumers reined in spending on luxury goods in 2009, Thomas said, but demand for leather goods and accessories started to turn around in the fourth quarter.
