High-school students get chance to explore teaching in Minnesota

The Teacher Cadet program in a Minnesota district gives high-school students a peek into an educator's job and gives school officials a chance to keep tabs on potential teacher candidates. The yearlong program teaches the high-achieving students about children's various learning styles and needs as well as special education and English-language learners. Students create lesson plans and experience classrooms from from prekindergarten to high school.
