House votes to keep FAA running pending agreement with Senate bill

Facing difficult negotiations over reconciling long-term reauthorization bills for the FAA, the House on Wednesday passed a short-term measure designed to keep the agency running through July 3. House lawmakers also worked to revise their reauthorization bill, including a provision that would require 1,500 hours of flight time for a commercial pilot's license. A vote on the House package could come Thursday, according to reports, which would pave the way for a House/Senate conference to reconcile the two bills.
