Private labels' market share will double, Rabobank says

Rabobank predicted in a report that private-label products will make up half of the packaged-food market within 15 years, as their market share doubles worldwide. "Indirectly, the effects of the recession will fuel further private-label expansion across the globe for years to come," wrote Sebastiaan Schreijen, associate director of processed food and retail for Rabobank.
