Students' career goals are mapped out in high school

A growing number of schools are developing individualized plans to help students reach their college and career goals. Much of the planning for students' career maps is done online, and some districts pair online tools with in-person mentors to keep students on track. "The focus on individual learning plans is so students enter college prepared to do good work," said Chad d’Entremont, executive director of the Rennie Center for Education Research & Policy.
