How to address "do-it-yourself" retirement planning

A survey has found that about two-thirds of adults choose not to consult a financial adviser for retirement planning. The most common reason, according to the survey, is the attitude on the part of investors that they do not need professional advice to plan their retirement. Only a small percentage gave their reason as a previous bad experience with an adviser or being unable to pay for the service.
