Landscapers, nurseries try to adapt to changing temps

Nurseries and outdoor landscaping work have taken a hit with the recent cold weather in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. But not all are suffering. Steel City Landscape in Pittsburgh sees more demand for snow removal, which could help offset its loss on landscaping jobs, according to Mark Purcell, the company's president. Carl Sickles from Affordable Landscaping in Morgantown, W.Va., said the weather has brought more work and income for his plowing crews.
