Study: Nurses' quality of care comparable to that of physicians

A study involving 1,461 adults in Spain found that trained nurses provided care of equal quality to that of general practitioners. Nurses and doctors successfully resolved cases at a comparable rate. Nurse-treated patients were equally satisfied as those who saw doctors, researchers reported in the Journal of Advanced Nursing.
