Sara Hanks, CEO of CrowdCheck, says she is not too concerned about the cost of crowdsourcing because she is confident the free market will provide correct pricing. Hanks is, however, concerned with some of the costs associated with regulatory compliance. "The big things that do worry us are the audit requirement, and specifically, we are concerned that it's not just auditing, but the [Securities and Exchange Commission] decided that the financial statements should be provided in accordance with U.S. [generally accepted accounting principles]. That is expensive," Hanks said.
