Ill. high court: Condo owners must pay dues regardless of association conduct

Condo owners cannot stop paying association dues even if the association has failed to keep up with common-property repairs or its other responsibilities, the Illinois Supreme Court ruled last week. The decision stemmed from a lawsuit involving a condo owner who said she stopped paying her dues because the association refused to repair a leaking roof that made it difficult to sell her property.
