Big Dig recovery demand jumped in last days

The office of Massachusetts Attorney General Thomas F. Reilly abruptly increased the amount the state was seeking from Big Dig contractor Bechtel/Parsons Brinckerhoff for inadequate work on the project from $20 million to $108 million just days before announcing the demand, according to new reports. Political rivals have suggested Reilly asked for too little.
