Federal crackdown continues on mail-order drugs

Some U.S. residents are receiving letters from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security saying their mail-order drugs shipped from Canada have been confiscated. The tougher enforcement policy has been in effect since Nov. 17. One U.S. senator says he suspects the seizures are an attempt by the Bush administration to push seniors to use the new Medicare drug plan, an accusation the U.S. Customs and Border Protection denies.
