Kaletra sparks fight over price, distribution

A new version of Abbott Laboratories' AIDS drug Kaletra has set off a battle between the drug company and some advocates, with one group calling on Abbott to sell the drug at no profit in 117 needy countries and provide the recipe to generic drugmakers. Abbott says it has not obtained the regulatory approvals it needs to distribute the drug in African countries.
