WPP CEO Martin Sorrell, who is fighting a libel case in a London court, and ex-Wal-Mart marketer Julie Roehm, who is trading accusations with her former employer, are generating the wrong kind of headlines -- for themselves -- and putting the industry in a bad light, according to this article. "This business has always been about making clients' business the star," one observer said. "Now you have very highly placed people choosing to go public, choosing to put themselves in negative headlines. What are they thinking?"
