FAA will add traffic signals at 20 airports

The FAA on Monday said it will add a runway stoplight system at 20 busy U.S. airports over the next three and a half years as part of a plan to reduce incursions. The system will turn on red lights embedded in the pavement at each intersection and will use a computer to determine which runways are being used.
