Chicago suburb approves plan for 35-story skyscraper

Plans for a new 35-story skyscraper in downtown Evanston, Ill., continue to generate controversy in the Chicago suburb. The condo building and retail tower will be 10 stories higher than any other building in town, but some residents think the skyscraper will spoil Evanston's charm. The city approved the plan after developers reduced the height of the building from the original proposal of 49 stories.
