Digirad gets FDA approval for SPECT/CT imaging system

The FDA has given 510(k) clearance to Digirad to market its Cardius X-ACT imaging system. The cardiac SPECT/CT device is capable of low-dose VCT attenuation correction to limit artifacts in images due to overlying tissues. It features a 24-inch-wide detector array and triple-head solid-state digital detectors.
