Florida golf courses adjust to recession by offering discounts

Even high-end golf resorts such as the Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort in Florida are offering discounts to lure golfers back to the greens during the recession. Bay Point is the only Nicklaus Design golf course located in Northwest Florida, and the course has lowered fees for rounds of golf this year. "We have to adjust to the economic landscape and adjust to the market and adjust to our customers, and I think we've done that," said Jay Iskow, general manager of Bay Point.
