Four artful deadline tips

Steve DeMaio, who teaches English and math to adults in Cambridge and Somerville, Mass., suggests there is an art to "the self-imposed deadline." By way of example, DeMaio offers four hallmarks of his own style: Start the day early, tackle similar tasks consecutively, avoid pushing big jobs off until they are due and laugh at yourself when you're feeling like a drone.
