Green-technology firms get first dose of stimulus

The Department of Energy announced plans to provide $535 million in loans to a solar company in California. More green-technology firms are seeing a welcome infusion of cash for the finance-challenged industry, but some analysts caution that the full impact of the stimulus will not be felt until 2010. The DOE plans to fund $39 billion in renewable-energy projects.
