Massachusetts draws 8,300 applications for stimulus funds:

Massachusetts officials have received 8,300 applications for projects vying for funding from the federal economic-stimulus package. The state will receive $2 billion in funds for infrastructure, but it would cost $27 billion to fund all of the projects submitted so far. Jeffrey Simon, the state's director of infrastructure investment, said not all of the 8,300 projects submitted are eligible for the stimulus money.
