Data from the EPA's Toxics Release Inventory indicates that toxic releases from Arizona chemical facilities decreased 9% in 2007 compared with 2006. According to the report, overall on-site land releases decreased by more than 7 million pounds, or 8%, while air releases were down 13% and water releases increased by 17%.
