FAA issues safety warning on some home-built aircraft

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a safety warning for kit planes that have high wing loading and stall speeds greater than 61 knots. According to the FAA, these home-built aircraft may "expose pilots to additional risk during slowspeed operations while close to the ground and with little time to recover from an unintentional stall."
