Fewer black mothers breast-feed babies, CDC says

CDC data from 2004 to 2008 showed 54% of black mothers breast-fed their babies compared with more than 80% of Hispanic women and 74% of whites. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends women breast-feed for the first year of a baby's life, but the data showed only 12% of black mothers followed that recommendation.
