Health care reform act to cost Deere $150 million

The new health care reform act will cost John Deere & Co. an extra $150 million this year, with most of the costs coming in the second quarter, the company said. Deere's announcement is similar to one from Caterpillar, which said the new legislation will add an additional $100 million in charges this year. The new health care law is expected to take a larger financial toll on manufacturers with a large number of retirees.
