Teachers in Calif. district to pay some health care costs

Teachers in Martinez, Calif., will be required to pay for a portion of their health insurance premiums under a newly ratified contract. The district typically has paid all medical coverage for full-time employees and their families, but officials say teachers will pay between $25 and $65 a month. The contract also calls for teachers to take four unpaid days of leave during each of the next two school years.
