Wooden aircraft could reduce oil demand

Canadian researchers say they're closing in on a method to use wood pulp to produce eco-friendly plastics and carbon-fiber materials used in airplanes and racing cars. The method could use waste byproducts from the forestry industry that would otherwise be incinerated, simultaneously reducing oil use and carbon emissions.
