AAP issues policy statement on pediatric sudden cardiac arrest

The AAP, in a policy statement published in Pediatrics, said pediatricians should know the incidence and causes of sudden cardiac arrest among young patients. Pediatricians also should support the development of effective school emergency response programs and a central registry for pediatric SCA, the authors said.
