Bills aimed at curbing PIP fraud clear New York Senate

The New York Senate has approved measures aimed at curbing personal-injury-protection fraud in the no-fault auto insurance system. The bills have the support of state officials and insurance trade groups. "In our opinion, these three bills really go after the individuals that are really, truly intending to commit fraud," said Ellen Melchionni of the New York Insurance Association.
