Bridges on Maryland's new, $2.6B ICC to undergo repairs

Premature cracks in four concrete bridges on the 18-mile, $2.6 billion Intercounty Connector in Maryland are being repaired. Repairs will require the precautionary installation of steel rods to make the bridges last from 50 to 75 years. The cost of repairing the bridges will be shouldered by the contractors who built the ICC, according to the Maryland Highway Administration.
