How to improve parent-teacher conferences

Parent-teacher conferences are an important part of ensuring students succeed in school, says Betsy Landers, president of the National Parent Teacher Association. Landers offers five tips to having successful conferences, including her advice that teachers arrange talking points and discuss the most important matters first, be aware of personal situations that could affect students in the classroom, be open-minded and end the conference on a positive note.
